Come See Us at Somos!
Join Legal Services NYC at Somos for a panel discussion on housing justice on Thursday, November 5 from 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Eaev Wing Second Floor Flamoyan at the Caribe Hilton Hotel.
New York City’s housing crisis threatens the stability of tenants, the future of affordable housing, and the ability of working families to build and preserve generational wealth through homeownership. Rising housing costs, foreclosures, deed theft, and the loss of affordable housing put vulnerable communities at risk of displacement and deepen existing inequities. Experts from Bronx Legal Services (a program of Legal Services NYC), NYS Black Legislative Task Force, and Our Bronx will examine practical, community-driven strategies to strengthen housing stability and protect tenants and homeowners. This panel is sponsored by Senator Robert Jackson and Assembly Member Chantel Jackson.
