Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 10th annual Jazz for Justice Benefit on March 29th, 2017! We were proud to honor Debo P. Adegbile, Partner at WilmerHale, and Stacey R. Friedman, General Counsel of JPMorgan Chase & Co. This year's benefit raised over $1.5 million to provide legal services to New Yorkers living in poverty. More than 500 guests gathered at Cipriani 42nd Street to celebrate Debo and Stacey's commitment to access to justice for all.

Our Honorees
Debo P. Adegbile is a partner at the law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP (WilmerHale). His practice focusses on a broad range of matters at the intersection of law, business, and government policy.
From 2013 - 2014, Debo served as Senior Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, advising the committee on a range of issues including Supreme Court jurisprudence and litigation, the First Amendment, voting rights, national security, intellectual property, and nominations.
He spent more than a decade working for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF), where he served in several leadership roles. At LDF, he served as the director of litigation and supervised a broad range of complex civil and criminal cases in trial and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, and served as the final decision-maker for key strategic litigation decisions. Debo has argued multiple times before the U.S. Supreme Court, including in a 2008 defense of the Voting Rights Act.
Prior to joining Sullivan & Cromwell, Stacey was a clerk for the Honorable Gary L. Taylor, United States District Court, Central District of California. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and J.D. from Duke University School of Law. Immediately before law school, she worked for Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Stacey currently resides in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, with her wife and two children.
