LSNYC is instituting the Raun J. Rasmussen (RJR) Justice Fellowship to honor the career of Raun Rasmussen, a leader in the legal services community, who is retiring this year. Raun has spent his entire career fighting for justice for low-income New Yorkers. His intense dedication, optimism, collegial spirit, and magnanimity have inspired those who have had the good fortune to work with him. His vision of a legal services organization that can build upon individual case representation with systemic, hard-hitting impact litigation and advocacy will continue to shape LSNYC in the coming decades. The RJR Justice Fellow will build on Raun’s legacy, and carry on the work of helping New Yorkers who need our support the most.
