Director of Legal Education and Professional Development: Rose Morgan

Legal Services NYC is the unrivaled leader in training and education, individual consultation, technical assistance, publication of cutting edge substantive and skills materials, and outreach to the professional community that provides advocacy services to low income community members. We are accredited by New York State to provide Continuing Legal Education (CLE), and have become a principal source of CLE classes for poverty law practitioners in New York City!

Each year, more than 2,500 people from several hundred different nonprofit organizations, government agencies and elected officials' offices, join with attorneys in private practice to attend one or more LSNYC organized CLE events. Our classes are taught by experienced instructors, including LSNYC’s experts, law school professors, and leading lawyers from the public interest and private bar. These classes encompass a wide range of civil practice areas involving: poverty law practice, legal skills ranging from writing to trial preparation and practice, and ethical considerations involved in the representation of our clients.

LSNYC’s educational programs are generously supported by PLI – the Practising Law Institute.

We offer full and partial scholarships, which are based on need, to those who qualify.
