Since its inception in 1967, Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Legal Services has provided quality free civil legal services to the low income residents of the Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Communities.  The Office has pursued this mission through the dedicated work of its staff of attorneys, legal workers, law students and national and international volunteers, as well as in partnership with community-based organizations and the private bar.
